HIPAA Privacy Notice
Robertson County EMS (RCEMS) is committed to upholding the highest standards of privacy and security for the health information we handle. HIPAA, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, is a federal law that protects the privacy and security of individuals' protected health information (PHI) and sets standards for how that information is used, disclosed, and safeguarded.
Robertson County Emergency Services District (ESD) is a hybrid entity under HIPAA. This means that while the ESD encompasses multiple functions, only Robertson County EMS (RCEMS) is a covered component subject to HIPAA regulations. Other functions and departments of the ESD are not covered by HIPAA.
